Two huge contributors to, and founding members of, Refugees for Brockville - both with massive hearts, deep passion, and penchants for hard work for their community - were honoured this past weekend!
We are very fortunate to have two such leaders in Brockville!
On Canada Day, Brockville Mayor David Henderson presented the City's annual Community Recognition Awards to four deserving individuals. Those receiving the awards this year were Alan Medcalf who is involved with YMCA of Brockville and Area, Brockville Cycling Advisory Committee & the Brock Trail Committee; Kimberly Heath, pastor at Wall Street United Church & Marianne Emig Carr, pastor at First Presbyterian Church for their work with the Refugee Assistance Committee; & John Taylor who leads the Brock Trail Committee.
